Funeral services for Ramona “Gail” Green, of Brookhaven, are Friday, June 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Chad Yarborough will officiate the service. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church and continuing Friday, July 6, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Green, 58, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 28, 1960, in Houston, Texas, to Lena Proctor and Raymond C. Beard Sr.

She was a very strong independent woman who was loved by many. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who loved to help others. She is loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Maie B. and Mattis Griffin; husband, Curtis Green; son, Ronnie Green; and uncle, Chuck Griffin.

Survivors are her five brothers, Raymond C. Beard Jr., Robert Charles Beard, Clifford Beard, Dewayne Pullin and Lester Proctor; son, Donald Boyd; five daughters, Sarah Bolin, Nancy Love, Shirley Hudson, Kim Neal and Lori Howard; seven grandsons, Jamie Case, Preston Love, Chandler Love, Rhett Dean, Sean Boyd, Johnathan Gammons and Russell Hudson; six granddaughters, Kathlena Kennedy, Alyson Dean, Tammy Pevey, Karen Lay, Shasta Boyd and Ashley Hudson; Judith G. “Aunt Sissy” Roberts; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
