Funeral services for Robert Earl Allen, of Brookhaven, were held Monday, July 2, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Visitation was held Monday, July 2, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen, 77, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1941, to the late Percy and Lola Allen. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired after 31 years from Chevron as a production supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and loved rabbit hunting. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister Nita Faye Allen Moak Spring.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Margaret Ann Weeks Allen; daughters, Stacey Allen Locke and husband Kelvin, Michelle Allen Fortado and husband, August, and Abby Allen Thornton and husband Stewart; grandchildren, Ashlyn Locke, Ady Locke, Amelia-Ann Thornton, Mason Eady; step-grandchildren, Daniel Locke, Dalton Fortado, Rylan Fortado, Samantha Thornton; two great-stepgrandchildren; brother-in-law, Wayne Spring; adopted son, Melvin Coleman; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
