Memorial services for Thomas “Big Daddy” Vester Oswalt, of Brookhaven are Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive.) He will be put to rest between his parent’s graves in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, at a later date.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Oswalt, 58, died Saturday, June 23, 2018, at his residence after a long courageous battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. He was born July 2, 1959, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Carnard V. Oswalt and Elizabeth Adair Oswalt. He was a loving husband, dad, brother and friend to many. His motto after being diagnosed in 2016 was “Cancer is living with me, I’m not living with cancer.” He lived life to the fullest until the last week of his life. He was a retired truck driver, but spent his retired life camping and fishing with his family and piddling in his shed fixing things.
