Funeral services for Peter “Pete” Lutken Watts, of Brookhaven are Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be today, July 11, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A vigil will be today, July 11, 2018, at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts, 78, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Sept. 4, 1939, to the late W.E. “Windy” Watts and Elizabeth “Dibba” Moore Watts. He was a 1957 graduate of Brookhaven High School and graduated from Ole Miss with a master’s degree in business in 1963. While at Ole Miss, he was a part of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the insurance excellence program. He was owner of Lamar Life Insurance Agency in Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Walter Edwin Watts and James Moore Watts.

Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Barbara Ann Smith Watts; son, Jason Watts and wife, Heather; daughters Beth Watts King and husband, Owen and Ellen Watts Pyeatt and husband, Benji; nine grandchildren, Courtney Berry and husband, Austin, Sawyer Watts, Tucker Watts, Tanner Watts, Madeline King, Gracie Pyeatt, Grayson Pyeatt, Finley Pyeatt, Anne-Patrick Pyeatt; and great- grandson, Cohen Watts; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Watts and Debbie Watts; and very dear special lifelong friend of his family, Ms. Betty Jean Craig.
