Funeral services for Shaffier Glenn Smith, of Brookhaven, are Friday, July 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 81, died Monday, July 9, 2018, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born Nov. 24, 1936, to Emily and Claude Smith. He was a self -employed sign painter. He enjoyed playing and recording music. He was a caring man who will be missed dearly by all of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Talmadge Smith; mother-in-law, Eloyes Bessontte; and sister-in-law, Earline Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Karen Lynette Smith; stepsons, Melvin Dean Walker and wife, Debi and Gregory Ross Walker and wife, Jenny; brothers, Kenneth Smith and wife, Martha and Ladell Smith; brother-in-law, Reggie Day and wife, Pearl; grandchildren, Jake Walker and wife, Madeline, Ashley Crosby and husband, Zane, Blake Walker and Stoney Walker; great-grandchildren, Marianna and William Walker; and the mother of his grandmother, Patty Russell.
