ACKERMAN, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi authorities say they’ve arrested two people believed to be involved in a multi-county theft ring connected to a drug operation.
Citing the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department, WTVA-TV reports Levi Kelly and Taylor Johnson are charged with grand larceny.
Chief Deputy Lee Upchurch says the two are connected to thefts of items including horse trailers, all-terrain vehicles and cargo trailers in Choctaw, Webster, Montgomery and Oktibbeha counties.
Upchurch says the theft ring is connected to a methamphetamine operation. He says the investigation is now focusing on two specific places in Oktibbeha and Choctaw counties.
