Funeral services for Paul Ernest Barlow, of Natchez, are Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Loyd Star. Rev. Ben Barlow, great-nephew of Mr. Barlow will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Barlow, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Brookhaven, to Boyce Barlow and Rosa Lee Newell Barlow. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served on the Natchez Police Department from Oct. 1965 until Sept. 30, 1983, at which time he retired with the rank of aptain.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Rev. Roy Nelson Barlow; and great-granddaughter, Jacquelyn Grace Knotts.

Survivors are his loving wife of 69 years, Annie Pearl Smith Barlow; daughters, Sandra Wigley and husband, Mickey, Judy Thompson and husband, Tommy, and Sherry Reagan and husband, Lane; sons, Paul Wesley Barlow and Richard Wayne Barlow and wife, Michele; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister; Doris Smith and husband, Alfred; with a host of family and friends.

Special thanks to the staff of Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven for the love and care given to Mr. Barlow and for the continued loving care for his beloved wife.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Barlow’s name may be made to: Lovely Lane United Methodist Church in Natchez.
