Funeral services for Howard Britt, of Brookhaven, are today, Aug. 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Britt, 92, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at his residence. He was born Sept. 8, 1925, to the late Fred and Edna Britt. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the 13th Armored Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked 65 of his 92 years as terminal manager for Campbell 66 Trucking, Jones Trucking Lines and in sales for the Sullivan Ford dealership.

He loved to bird hunt with his close friends, Doyle Byrd and Gerald Hart, and loved riding his golf cart, four-wheeler and tractor with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Welton Britt.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret Ann Britt; sons, Greg Russell and wife, Jana; Scott Russell and wife, Tricia, and Brian Russell and friend, Terry; daughter, Rebecca Britt Kamm and husband, Rex; nine grandchildren, Lauren Cooper, Austin Cooper, Sarah King, Megan McCarver, Justin Russell, Ben Russell, Abbey Fleming, Mandy Russell and Johanna Russell; and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rose Britt; and niece, Tina Bridges.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berean Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1009, Brookhaven, MS 39602.
