Smith wins Bass Club’s 9th tourney
Brookhaven Bass Club fished its ninth tournament of the year Saturday at Deer Park. Out of 16 dedicated anglers only six guys weighed in a fish and zero five-fish limits were caught.
“A tough day for everyone to say the least,” said Sawyer Wallace.
First place and big bass went to Corey Smith, with three fish weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. and a 3 lb. 9 oz. gig bass.
Second place went to Sawyer Wallace with three fish weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Third place went to Waylon Book with three fish weighing 6 lbs. 8 oz.
Brookhaven has two tournaments left on the 2018 schedule, with the next one being at Lake Bruin Oct. 13. If anyone would like to join the club for the remainder of this year or next year visit Brookhaven Bass Club’s Facebook page.
