Funeral services for Martha Elizabeth Smith, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Church with burial at Damascus Baptist Church in Franklin County. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 19, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church and will continue Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, from noon until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Smith, 56, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at Merit Health in Jackson. She was born July 26, 1962, to the late Eddie Clinton Furr and Lorene Pepper Furr. She was the first member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Ladies Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Christopher Shawn Smith; stepmother, Mary Jane Jenkins Furr; and brother, Brian Furr.

Survivors are her husband, Terry Smith; daughter-in-law, Amanda Kristen Smith; stepbrothers, Rev. Allen Jenkins and wife, Sister Karen; stepbrother, Bobby Jenkins; mother-in-law, Pat Smith; niece, Kayla Jenkin; two grandchildren, Micah Shawn Smith and Mia Kristen Smith; and many other friends and family.
