Stringer slams West Lincoln
The Stringer Red Devils flexed their muscle on Friday night as they took care of West Lincoln 53-7 in Jasper County.
The Bears got a 30-yard Enrico Price touchdown run in the third quarter but had put themselves in a deep hole as they trailed 41-0 at halftime.
“They controlled both lines of scrimmage and kept us from getting anything going offensively” said West Lincoln assistant coach Brad Bland.
The Red Devils scored on their first possession and rode the legs of their standout running back Anthony Thomas throughout the game.
The Bears would commit four first half turnovers.
West Lincoln kicks off region play next week with a trip to Amite County.
