Funeral services for Rev. Willie Lee Culver, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion M.B. church in Brookhaven with burial at the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Culver, 66, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was born March 10, 1952, to Israel Culver Sr. and Dora Dixon Culver. He was a member of Alexander High School Class of 1971. He received an associate degree from Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

He retired after 23 years as a draftsman with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, he was also an associate minister at Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Israel Culver and Queen Ester Walker Williams; and son, Peyton.

Survivors are his wife, Maebell Culver; two sons, Willie (Maggie), of Nevada, and Chris, of Mississippi; four daughters, Shastar (Lamonte), of Texas, Consuel (Fred), of Mississippi, Adrian, of Tennessee, and Felicia (John), of Iowa; two sisters, Lora (Grady) and Mary (Sammie), both of Mississippi; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
