The Bogue Chitto Bobcats travel to Rankin County Friday night to tackle the Pisgah Dragons.
The Dragons are the No. 5 ranked 2A team in the latest Mississippi Prep AP poll. Pisgah whipped previously unbeaten Puckett 31-7 last week, and also have wins over West Lincoln and Loyd Star this season.
Pisgah is led by senior running back Noah Thweatt, who has run for 1,109 yards this season through seven games. The Dragons average 337 rushing yards per game.
Bobcat quarterback Shaw King had one of his biggest games of the season last week in a 42-30 defeat by Loyd Star. The sophomore signal-caller went 10-of-21 for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Warrick Cook made 15 tackles in the Possum Bowl loss for the Bobcats.
The matchup with Pisgah is the final non-division game on the schedule for Bogue Chitto, as the Bobcats close the season with region games against Amite County, West Lincoln and Enterprise.
Kickoff in Sand Hill between the Bobcats and Dragons is set for 7 p.m.
