Memorial services for Billy Ray Greer, of Pike County, formerly of Lincoln County, are today, Oct. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven. Bro. Will Lott will officiate the service.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 6, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at funeral home.

Mr. Greer, 62, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with his wife holding one hand and his mother holding his other. His death was unexpected, resulting from a stroke on Monday. He was an honest, hardworking man who loved to fish. Over the years, he became very skilled at painting vehicles and was able to earn a living this way. There were many who would not have work done by anyone else. Although he was always a kind, generous, good-natured man, he came to know the Lord late in life with the encouragement and example of his wife, Tammy. She was the great love of his life and it is her great comfort to know Billy is with Jesus now.
