Funeral services for Jack Lester Barrett, of Brookhaven, were held Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Rev. Chad Yarborough and Rev. Carroll Walker officiated the services.

Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Mr. Barrett, 85, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018. He was born July 4, 1933, to Lester and Beulah Burchfield Keen Barrett. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He loved singing and listening to gospel music, hunting and boating. He also loved watching westerns and football on television.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; and a son, Jack Kimeron Barrett.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Case Barrett; sons, Cody Barrett, of Brookhaven, and Kelly Barrett of Maumelle, Arkansas; daughter, Connie Anthony and husband, Terry, of Maumelle, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cody Barrett Jr., Marika Austin, Nick Barrett, Shannon Lofton and Stephanie Foster; along with five great-grandchildren.
