A memorial service for Bobby Glenn Allred, of Brookhaven, will be held Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with a memorial gathering from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bobby Glenn Allred, 77, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018. He was born to Marshall Allred and Ann Franklin Allred McMullen Oct. 10, 1941. He was an avid reader and sports fan, enjoying MSU football and baseball. Mr. Allred had a love for gardening as well. He started his business career with Texaco and was the owner of Slay-Allred Motors for many years. He was a graduate of Millsaps College where he also played football. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents and William L. McMullen.

Survivors include his siblings, G. Wayne Allred and wife, Sylvia Smith Allred, Sylvia Allred Adamson, Claudia McMullen Burnett, Betty McMullen Harrington and William L. McMullen Jr.; nine nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
