MS Elite 10U wins State

The Brookhaven-based MS Elite 2026 fast-pitch softball travel team won the USSSA MS State Tournament (10U) held in Oxford this past weekend. The state tournament saw Elite 2026 expand its overall record to 26-5. Additional fall 2018 fast-pitch tournaments Elite 2026 has participated in, include: Let’s Get Going in Magee and Fall Brawl in Brandon (both 1st place finishes), Crossfire Classic in Gulfport (2nd place finish), Best of the Best in Brandon (4th place finish), and the Fall State Tournament in Oxford (1st place). MS Elite 2026 is currently recognized as a USSSA Class A team in the 10U Division. However, Elite 2026 enjoyed being the number 1 ranked 10U Class B team in the nation for several weeks earlier in the fall! 

MS Elite 2026 team members are: Zoe Alford, Layla Burt, Kylin Chisholm, Abby Holder, Lillie Overby, Carlee Pounds, Ella Robertson, Anna Sawyer, Molly Sistrunk and Ellyn Williams. Head coach is Duane Burt of Brookhaven, with assistants Andrew Alford of Magnolia and Todd Pounds of Columbia.
