Funeral service for Hilda Mae Hedgepeth, of Monticello, was held Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hedgepeth, 93, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at Lawrence County Hospital. She was born July 26, 1925, to George and Velma King. She and her sisters Cloyce and Walene were long time employees of Dr. B.B. Pace of Monticello.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Hedgepeth; son, Phillip Hedgepeth; and sisters, Mildred Turner and Walene Lambert.

Survivors are her son, Carry Hedgepeth and wife, Sandra, of Monticello; daughter, Linda Atwood, of Brookhaven; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bourne, of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Phyllis Rhea, Meg Bourne, Kip Britt, Phillip Hedgepeth, Burke Atwood and Clint Atwood; sister, Cloyce Neely; brothers, Charlie J. King and Buddy Ward; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
