Bogue Chitto claws through Enterprise
Bogue Chitto ruined Enterprise’s senior night as they clawed through the Yellow Jackets Friday night, winning by a final score of 53-22.
Although their season is officially done with, Enterprise has some bright things to look forward to next season. They ran the ball well all year long and had some close games that could’ve gone either way.
In a game heavy on rushing plays, the Bobcats made a few more plays than Enterprise to push their record to 6-5 and keep the Jackets a winless 0-10.
“We could’ve played a little better on defense,” sad Bogue Chitto senior Damarcus Godbolt. “Offensively we were clicking. It was a great team win.”
“It was a great game,” said Bobcat lineman Davis Hart. “We played good on defense and had a great win.”
The Bobcats opened up the game starting on the 33-yard line and relied on their rushing to move down the field.

“We did a great job running the ball and the offensive line did a great job on controlling the line,” said Bogue Chitto coach Gareth Sartin. “Our backs ran hard all night. Upkins had some big plays for us. I couldn’t be prouder of the defense, they did an outstanding job at stopping the run. I’m proud of the kids and getting the win is a great way to end the regular season.”
“I’m proud of the kid’s effort throughout the season,” Enterprise coach Brooks Burns said. “I’m thankful for the seniors and their effort that they gave all year long.”
Bogue Chitto will host Madison-St. Joseph (5-6) Friday in round one of the 2A playoffs.
