Pedestrian struck on Hwy. 84 transported to Natchez
A pedestrian hit by a car as he walked along Hwy. 84 Tuesday night was taken to a Natchez hospital.
Joseph Danos, 35, of Natchez, was walking east on Hwy. 84 near the Natchez Trace overpass about 7:35 p.m. when he was struck by a Nissan Altima driven by Larry Glenn Parker, 65, of Natchez, said Cpl. Brandon Fortenberry of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Danos was transported by ambulance to Merit Health Natchez with serious injuries, Fortenberry said.
The accident remains under investigation.
