Funeral services for Rose Marie Britt, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton. Dr. Frank Harmon, Dr. Brian Rushing and Rev. Colby Cuevas will officiate the service. Newton County Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Britt, 86, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, in Newton. She was born March 13, 1932, in Sontag. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a dedicated wife to her supportive husband of 65 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and appreciated the care of her newfound friends at Woodland Court and Bedford Care Center.   

She was preceded in death by Welton Britt (husband); Spurgeon Boutwell (father), Rosa Boutwell (mother); Lindsey Britt (son); William A. Boutwell (brother), Guy Boutwell (brother) and Eunice Boutwell (sister).

Survivors include Kristina “Tina” Bridges (Bob) (daughter), Nicole Harmon (Micah) (granddaughter), Brittany Cuevas (Colby) (granddaughter), Hallie Rose Harmon (great-granddaughter), Jon Cole (Great-grandson), Evelyn Cuevas (great-granddaughter), Oliver Cuevas (great-grandson), Carl Boutwell (Mary Lee) (brother), Evelena Frazier (sister), numerous nieces and nephews, and Margaret Ann Britt (sister-In-Law).

Pallbearers will be Carl Boutwell Jr., Michael Frazier, Don Frazier, Dan Boutwell, Micah Harmon and Colby Cuevas.
