Freeze warning issued for Southwest Mississippi
The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a freeze warning for the area from 6 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Thursday.
Lows in the mid to upper 20s are possible tonight and into early Thursday with temperatures below freezing for 6 to 12 hours.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
