BA Cougars sweep Parklane Pioneers

The Brookhaven Academy basketball teams took a sweep over Parklane Academy on Tuesday night in the final matchups of the BA Thanksgiving Tournament.
In the girls’ game, the Lady Cougars whipped the Lady Pioneers 50-31. BA led 11-3 after the first quarter and 25-10 at halftime.
Freshman forward Emily Claire Felder led the Lady Cougars with 16 points. Senior Jana Case scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and made six steals for BA.
Haven Hollis led Parklane with nine points.
In the boys’ game it was all BA as the Cougars took a 53-32 win. The Cougars led 12-9 after the first quarter and 27-17 at halftime.
Senior guard Tanner Thurman scored 14 points for the Cougars. Senior forward Dawson Flowers added 14 points and seven rebounds and junior guard Britton Nelson added 10 points.
Brookhaven Academy plays at Copiah Academy on Tuesday.
