Lawrence County senior softball player Julianna Johnson signed a letter of intent with Copiah-Lincoln Community College in recent ceremony at the school.

As a junior Johnson hit .424 with an on-base percentage of .517 for the 30-4-1 Lady Cougars. She drove in 30 RBIs as Lawrence County made it all the way to the MHSAA 4A championship series. At Co-Lin Johnson will be reuniting with her former high school head coach Meleah Howard who is in her first year of leading the Lady Wolves softball program.

“Julianna played for me at Lawrence County from her seventh grade year to her junior year,” said Howard. “I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to coach her again. She’s a hard working outfielder and knows what it takes to win.”
