Funeral services for Richard Monroe Wallace Sr., of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family in Brookhaven with burial at Edwards Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, Dec. 11, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family and will continue Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Mr. Wallace, 74, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018. He was born Oct. 22, 1944, to Houston and Erma Lee Wallace. He was a loving and caring man who will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Wallace; parents; and brothers, Jesse Wallace and Charles Wallace.

Survivors are his sons, Richard Monroe Wallace Jr. of Albany, Louisiana, Greg Covington, Jeramie Edwards, and Kevin Edwards (Beth), all of Brookhaven; daughters, Wendy Darlin Wallace of Kileen, Texas, Vicky Bennett and Dana Smith (Rob), of Brookhaven; brothers, Ronnie Wallace, of Bogue Chitto, James A. Wallace, of Monticello; sisters, Lona Mae Rushing (Wayne), of Brookhaven, and Mary Johnson of Zachary, Louisiana; grandchildren, Christopher Francois, Melina Garcia,

Jacob Holt, Kitana Wallace, Richard Edwards, Devin Edwards, Evan Edwards, Jarred Bennett, Kaylon Bennett, Raigan Smith and Kaylea Smith; one great-grandchild, Jessi Claire Bennett; and walking buddy and dog, Bear Bear.
