Funeral service for Billy Ray Rippy, of Wesson, will be Friday, Jan. 7, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family in Brookhaven with burial at Mt Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at Riverwood.

Mr. Rippy, 70, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was born Aug. 13, 1948, in Lincoln County, to Robert and Helen Rippy. Life was not complicated for Billy, he enjoyed listening to his radio and he treasured his pocket watch. His favorite thing to do as a hobby was to add the prices from sales papers and see the totals come together. He was a very special brother and friend. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Ray Rippy, Luther Rippy, James “Jimmy” Rippy, Roger Smith, Robert Rippy, and John Z. Rippy; and one sister, Sally Womack.

Survivors are his brothers, Bobby Ray Rippy, Glenn Rippy, Donnie Rippy and Jackie Rippy; sisters, Shirley Kendrall and Kathy Rippy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great, nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.
