Funeral services for Claude B. Smith, of Brookhaven, are Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Seventh Day Adventist Church in Brookhaven, with burial at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit. Pastor Marcus Harden and Dean Snider will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Smith, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Country Brook Living Center with his loving wife by his side. He was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Lincoln County, to Jake and Viola Smith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Myron Smith; grandson, Preston Bennett Smith; sisters, Tera Cockerhan, Lucille Williamson, Lois Boyd, Inez Russell, and Helen Boyd; and his brothers, J.W., Frank, Leroy and Carey Smith.

Survivors are his wife of 27 years, Peggy Smith; son, Stanley Smith (Ruby); daughter, Claudia Salcedo (Carlos); stepdaughters, Vewanna Nations (Terry), Dephama Cody (Danny), and Yolanda Burt; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
