Firefighters respond to structure fire in Monticello

Fire reports
The Monticello Fire Department responded to two calls Sunday. At 1:47 a.m., firefighters responded to a structure fire at 114 Walt McNease Road. At 11:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car at Hwy. 587 and Elliot Street. The driver of the motorcycle was injured.
The Brookhaven Fire Department answered three calls Sunday. At 9:18 a.m. at Grace Community Church, 225 Ingram St., a power transformer was smoking. Firefighters responded and waited for Entergy to arrive. At 3:48 p.m., they extricated a passenger from a vehicle that had crashed at 600 East Cherokee St. At 4 p.m., they responded to a dryer fire at Brooks Apartments, 300 Old Wesson Road.
KDMC Ambulance report
King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 13 calls Sunday. Two were transfers, with one to Jackson and one to McComb. There were 11 emergency calls; six medical, with five in the city and one in the county; one trauma in the city; three MVCs in the city and one cardiac in the city.
