MCCOMB (AP) — Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting death at a Mississippi nightclub last fall.

McComb police told news outlets that 22-year-old Bruce Varnado was arrested Friday night following a short chase.

Varnado is charged with murder in the Oct. 28 shooting death of 35-year-old Erick Kintae Earls of Gloster.

McComb police say Varnado tried to run into some woods behind a house but was caught shortly thereafter.

Police think Earls’ shooting death resulted from an argument.

There was no record of an attorney for Varnado yet.
