The National Weather Service has canceled the winter weather advisory for Lincoln County.

Forecasts of 1-3 inches of accumulation prompted schools to close today, but those predictions were off. As of 7 a.m. very little snow had fallen and even less had accumulated.

NWS said a chance of light snow accumulation was still possible in the area through mid morning.
