Anne ‘Rooney’ Lindsay Mincey

Celebration of life services for Anne “Rooney” Lindsay Mincey, are Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Riverwood Family in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mincey, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. She was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Bennettsville, South Carolina, to Mary Anne and Ross Lindsay. She worked as an executive secretary in Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Fort Mill, South Carolina. After retiring, she made her home on the coast of South Carolina. She was an active member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, All Saints Church and The Abbey at Pawleys Island. She was proud to be a member of the Episcopal Church Order of Daughters of the King.

She enjoyed being in the Pilot Club, Marlboro Players, Arts Council and volunteering at the church. Some of the things that Anne loved most were the North Carolina mountains, finding shells on the beach, Barry Manilow music, roses and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James “Jim” Mincey.

Survivors are her brother, Ross “Buddy” Lindsay (Marie); and children, Ken McQuage (Suzie), Walker McQuage (Sabrina), Mary Ross McQuage (Scott), Sheri Blakley and Eddie Mincey (Hilda); and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were blessed to have her as their grandmother.
