Maranda Hart enjoys serving others in any way she can.

“I like helping people just to see the smiles on their face,” Hart said.

Hart, 18, is the daughter of Doyle and Linda Hart. She has one brother, Dustin, 23. Originally from Brookhaven, Hart lived in Liberty before moving back to Lincoln County in 2016.

She is a 2018 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center. Hart is currently a freshman at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where is she majoring in radiology.

She has worked for Snowhaven Snowballs for five months. When she isn’t making snow-cones or sitting in class, Hart attends Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she is involved in the youth group and volunteers during Vacation Bible School in the summer.

In her spare time, Hart is involved with the Amite County 4-H club, Phi Theta Kappa and the Co-Lin Diamond Girls.  She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Her favorite food is “Da Bomb Roll” from Kyoto Japanese Steak House. A fact many people may not know about Hart is that she’s afraid of the dark.

An interesting family tradition she has is Sunday lunch with her family after church. Her “Memaw” cooks lunch each Sunday so she can have her family together.

One thing she can’t do without is her phone.  Hart says her best quality is her willingness to help others, as she enjoys doing so.

Her life’s biggest goal is to become an obstetric sonographer so that she can show new parents the first picture of their baby.
