Funeral services for Gale H. Smith, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial at Easthaven Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Lonnie Case will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, with her loving family by her side. She was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Bogue Chitto, to Delos M. Hart and Fannie Mae Smith Hart. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and keeping her family in line. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 61 years, John Wesley Smith; and sister, Dorothy Hutson.

Survivors are her sons, Eddie Smith and wife, Tammy and Wendell Smith and wife, Cammi; daughters, Vicky Kyzar and husband, Mark and Cindy Barlow and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Jenny Sadler, Adam Smith and wife, Christina, April Scroggs and husband, Jacob, Joshua Kyzar, Tyler Smith, Hailey Merritt and husband, Daniel, Drake Barlow and Gavin Barlow; great-grandchildren, Caden Izard, Amarie Izard and Addison Sadler, Kirsten Scroggs, Emma Claire Kyzar, Declan Kyzar, Brayden Merritt, MaKayla Merritt and Isla Smith; and a host of family and friends.
