Funeral services for Otto Washington Jr., of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Williams Mortuary Chapel in Brookhaven with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Washington, 70, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at his residence. He was born Jan. 13, 1949, to Otto Washington Sr. and Nell Evans Washington. He graduated from Eva H. Harris High School in 1967, and attended Southwest Community College in Summit. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Janie Ruth Washington; sister, Mary C. Black; brother-in-law, O.L. (Nick) Black; and niece, Carol Washington-Adams.

Survivors are his two daughters, Takeshia Washington Stewart and Joy Washington; son, Justin Washington, all of Brookhaven; brother, John Washington; sister, Karen Washington, of Bogue Chitto; five grandchildren, Joshua Daniels, Benjamin Daniels Jr., Caleb Stewart, Ziaja Williams and Zachary Washington, all of Brookhaven; three great-grandchildren, Lyrichi Smith, Joshua Daniels Jr., of McComb, and Erin Daniels, of Brookhaven; two aunts, Georgia Evans Marks, of Chicago, Illinois, and Dorothy Evans Robinson, of Omaha, Nebraska; uncle, Jerry Evans, of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
