EDWARDS (AP) — Authorities say a woman was shot and killed at a home in Mississippi and that a man has been arrested on a murder charge.

News outlets report 21-year-old Zanmarkia Zitiana Mack was killed Monday night at a home near Edwards.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart says it appeared Mack died from a gunshot wound but that an autopsy will determine her exact cause of death.

County Sheriff’s Major Pete Luke says 57-year-old Daniel Lamar Nelson is jailed in Mack’s killing. Authorities say they believe the two knew each other but that they don’t know a motive for the shooting.

It’s unclear if Nelson has a lawyer who could comment for him.

Edwards is roughly 30 miles west of Jackson.
