Hogchain Drive Southeast was underwater east of the railroad tracks Friday afternoon. The road often floods during heavy rain. Several places along Hwy. 51 South of Brookhaven were flooded. More rain is in the forecast tonight and into Sunday. Severe weather is expected Sunday. The Pearl River at Monticello remains under a flood warning. At 9:15 a.m. Friday, the river was at 23.7 feet. Minor flooding occurs at 22 feet. The river is expected to reach 25.5 feet this afternoon.
