Fay Davis Orr, 94, a resident of McCall Creek, Mississippi, passed away on April 7, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2019, 5-8 p.m., at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb with an Eastern Star ceremony to follow after the visitation. A visitation will be held again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Johnny Bowlin will officiate and burial will be in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County, Mississippi.

Fay was born Nov. 18, 1925, in McCall Creek, Mississippi. She is the daughter of the late Commodore P. and Mercia Howard Davis.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Concord Baptist Church in the Independence Community. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As an Army wife she moved four times in one year. She graduated from Auburn High School in Lincoln County in 1944 and was a member of the Eastern Star Auburn Chapter #87 O.E.S.  She enjoyed word puzzles, TV westerns, and game shows. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Otis Orr Sr.; one son, James O. Orr Jr.; and two brothers, Jasper Davis and Dennis Davis.

She is survived by one son, Nathan Orr (Michelle) of McCall Creek; one daughter, Regina Orr Carraway of McCall Creek; one brother in-law, Donald Orr (Wanda); four grandchildren, Ashley Orr, Samuel Orr, Jonathan Carraway and Jeremy Carraway; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Michael and Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carl Davis, George Berryhill, Mark Davis, Scotty Vicnair, Keith Berryhill and Walter Chisholm.
