Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Franklin will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Riverwood Family in Brookhaven. The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Bro. Ryan Thurman will officiate and interment will be held at Good Hope Cemetery in Philadelphia, Mississippi, at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Charles, age 82 and a resident of Brookhaven, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his residence. He was born on May 5, 1937, to Alfred and Hazel Franklin in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Mr. Charles was an appliance repairman by trade, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mae Franklin; parents; and a son, Bobby Franklin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Eugene Franklin and wife Carolyn, Kenneth Franklin and stepson, Philip Hickman; daughters, Beverly Bassett and husband, Alfred, Gatha Skinner and husband, Ottis, and stepdaughters, Rhonda White and husband, Keith, and Trish Elkins. He is also survived by a brother, Rudolph Franklin and wife, Ellie, as well as 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
