Funeral services for June Margaret Ritz, of Brookhaven, are Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

June Margaret Ritz, 64, passed away on May 23, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. She was born on Aug. 4, 1954, to the late Vernon Evan Ritz and Margaret Irene Ritz.

June was a member of Bogue Chitto Assembly of God. She was a homemaker and worked as a nursing assistant, and enjoyed dancing, shopping and fashion, gardening, was a dog breeder and she loved lifting spirits of others and loving her Lord Jesus Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Virginia Etheridge; brothers, Lindel Ritz and Vernon Keith Ritz; nephew, Daniel Ritz; and niece, Kim Ritz.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Shane Prather; daughter, Alice Farnham and husband Chuck; and sisters, Sharon Brackett and Judy Boutwell.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Zach Berry, Stefan Stegall, Alex-Michael Roberts; great-grandson, Alex Berry; and the love of her life, David Prather.
