Candidates for local offices file financials

Political candidates for offices across Lincoln County had a Monday deadline to file campaign finance reports. Below is a look at contributions and expenses for each candidate who filed a report. Party primaries are Aug. 6 and the general election is Nov. 5.

Sheriff

• John Wayne Leggett, R: $2,476 in contributions, year to date, with expenses of $2,476. Cash on hand of $0.

• Steve Rushing, R: $10,729 in contributions, year to date, with $7,024 in expenses. Cash on hand of $3,704.

Chancery court clerk

• Quinn Jordan, R: $15,000 in contributions, year to date, with $13,841 in expenses. Cash on hand of $1,159.

• Alisha McGehee, R: $255 in contributions for May, year to date numbers not provided, with expenses of $378 for May. Cash on hand of $435.79.

• Pete Moak, R (committee to elect): $8,576 in contributions, year to date, with $5,301 in expenses. Cash on hand of $3,274.

Tax Assessor/Collector

• Black Pickering, R: $4,150 in contributions, year to date, with expenses of $1,369. Cash on hand of $2,780.

• Wendy Mullen Smith, R: $3,266.79 in contributions, year to date, with expenses of $3,266.79. Cash on hand of $0.
