Graveside services for Sandra H. Liverman were held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Friedman Family Cemetery in Wesson, Mississippi. Rabbi Debra Kassoff officiated the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Liverman, 68, of Wesson, Mississippi, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 8, 1951, in Wesson, Mississippi, to Dr. Burton and Sally Leinberger Friedman. She was a member of Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi; worked for many years alongside her husband as an RN in their medical clinic; homeschooled her two daughters; a champion of civil rights in the 1960’s; devoted scholar of Judaism; and was an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her husband, Dr. Steven Liverman of Wesson, Mississippi; daughters, Leaf Maggio and husband Dominic of Braintree, Massachusetts, and Dov Deustachio and husband Dominic of Old Fort, North Carolina; siblings, David Friedman and wife Edith, Loren Friedman, Paul Friedman and Ruth Docter; grandchildren, Ruby, Zoe, Oscar and Zev; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Ministries, Richard Dorris, her cousin Eileen Augustin, and to Shelia Wilson.
