Kertina Stephnie Rawls

Kertina Stephnie Rawls was born Aug. 24, 1976, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Clyde S. and Annie L. Browder. She was the firstborn of two daughters. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 18, 1991. She remained a faithful servant until she fell asleep on July 14, 2019.

The memorial service will be July 23, 2019, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1270 Field Lark Lane NE, Brookhaven, Mississippi, at 11 a.m.

She was a 1994 graduate of Brookhaven High School. Two years later, she graduated from Co-Lin as a radiologist. For 10 years, she worked at River Oaks Hospital. She went back to Co-Lin College and became a registered nurse and worked in the field several years.

April 21, 2002, she married the love of her life, Alston David Rawls. Born to this union were two daughers, Chloe’ Tianna Allistan Rawls and Kaylee Brooke Rawls. She always had a contagious smile and was full of life.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Clyde Browder and Bertha Browder; Robert Wilcher Sr. and Arnetta Wilcher.

She is survived by her husband, Alston David Rawls; two daughters, Chloe’ Tianna Allistan Rawls and Kaylee Brooke Rawls of Brookhaven, Mississippi; one son, Steffen Powell of Moss Point, Mississippi; her parents, Clyde S. and Annie L. Browder of Brookhaven, Mississippi; and one sister, Lakeita Arnetta Browder of Brookhaven, Mississippi. She helped to raise two nephews, Daylan Stephon Browder and Jaden Taurion Ja’Keithian Browder. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, relatives, classmates and friends.
