Robbery suspect wanted in grocery store owner’s slaying
(AP) — Police in Mississippi are looking for the person responsible for fatally shooting a grocery store owner during an armed robbery.
News outlets report 59-year-old Lisa Nguyen was shot at Steelman Grocery in Hattiesburg on Saturday afternoon. Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict confirms she later died at a hospital.
Hattiesburg police and Metro Crime Stoppers said on Facebook that authorities are seeking for the driver of a Nissan Altima in connection with the deadly robbery.
The community held a vigil for Nguyen at the grocery store Sunday night in which participants lamented the act of violence.
