(AP) — Authorities in Mississippi say a woman suspected in a drug investigation fled from a traffic stop and crashed into a deputy’s vehicle.

News outlets report the woman led officers on a chase through south Columbus on Monday before colliding with the narcotics deputy.

Lowndes County Sheriff’s Capt. Archie Williams didn’t identify the deputy or the woman. Williams says he believes the deputy has non-life-threatening injuries. The woman’s condition is unknown.

Williams says the woman is facing charges, including weapon possession and felony drug charges.
