Cobras can’t fight off Sumrall
The Wesson Cobras (0-2) fell behind 20-0 in the first half and never recovered Friday night as the 4A Sumrall Bobcats defeated them 30-6 in Lamar County.
Coach Jeremy Loy saw his team get on the board late in the contest when Orlando Smith scored on a 3-yard run.
Sumrall scored on a 76-yard kickoff return to start the game and never looked back.
Early turnovers and penalties were more than the Cobras could overcome as coach Shannon White and his team moved to 2-0 with the win.
