The Brookhaven Regional ARTS Guild has issued a call for submissions for the 2019 Annual Art Competition & Art Show. Submissions will be accepted in the Vernon Room at the Lincoln County Public Library on Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. until noon and 2 until 7 p.m.
Entry fees are $10 per entry. Awards will be $150 for Best of Show, $100 each for first place and people’s choice, $75 for second and $50 for third place entries. Honorable mentions will receive a ribbon.
This year’s categories are oils, acrylics, water media, pastels and drawings, photography, mixed media and 3-D (ceramics, sculpture, etc.).
Entrants must be at least 18 years old. Artwork must be original and current — completed within the previous three years — and not previously exhibited in a juried competition. More contest rules are available on BRAG’s Facebook page.
A reception and awards ceremony will be Oct. 10 from 5 until 6 p.m. Items will remain on display throughout the month of October.
