Mark ‘Peanut’ Youngblood

Memorial services for Mr. Mark “Peanut” Youngblood will be on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at Roxie Baptist Church in Roxie, Mississippi, at 3 p.m. Rev. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be at Roxie Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, from 1 until 3 p.m.

Mr. Youngblood, 57, of Roxie, Mississippi, was called home from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019. He was born on Jan. 27, 1962, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to Mr. William “Bill” Franklin Youngblood and Mrs. Pauline Denlinger Youngblood.

“Peanut,” as he was known by all, was employed by the Mississippi Department of Transportation where he quickly gained the friendship of other employees around the state. He was known as a dedicated and faithful worker. He was a faithful member of Roxie Baptist Church where he touched people’s lives in many different ways. He was always ready to assist those in need, especially the elderly with chores or other items needing attention. “Peanut” loved life. He loved his family and he loved his friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Pauline Youngblood; daughter, Krystal Lee; and sister, Debra Youngblood.

Those remaining to cherish his memories are his wife of 30 years, Belinda Youngblood of Roxie, Mississippi; son, Shaun Lee and wife, Daylene, of Roxie, Mississippi; brother, Benard Youngblood and wife, Jan, of Walker, Louisiana; grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Prescott Smith, Chistopher Demass, Samantha Demass and Shanna Demass; great grandchildren, Tyler Smith, KK Smith, Karlynn Smith, Leo Demass, Haley Demass, Kylie Demass, Alana Cash, Jared Cash, Adam Demass, Dicson Demass and Wyatt Demass along with many, co-workers throughout the state of Mississippi.
