The Brookhaven Academy Cougars (4-2) knew the Parklane Pioneers (5-1) presented a formidable problem to stop with their big offensive line and rushing attack. Friday night PA had all the answers as they ran over, around, and through the blue and white defense to take a 49-7 win.

The 6A Pioneers led 42-0 at halftime as a running clock was used in the second half.

BA has one more tough non-district game when they host 5A Adams County Christian School next week. The Rebels, coached by David King, had previously only lost to Jackson Prep and came into their matchup with Silliman carrying a 4-1 record. In a surprising finish the Rebels lost 26-0 at home to Silliman Friday night.

The BA versus ACCS matchup in Brookhaven next week will serve as the Veteran’s Appreciation game for the school.
