Oma family reports gunshots early Sunday

Lawrence County authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify the shooter or shooters who fired more than a dozen rounds at a mobile home in Oma over the weekend.

Sheriff Lessie Butler said the occupants of a home on Mildred Little Road reported gunfire outside their residence Sunday about 1:30 a.m. Butler said the home was hit at least five times and a car in the yard was struck twice. Investigators found about 15 9mm casings in the yard. They do not have suspects at this time, he said.
