The funeral service for Mrs. Myra S. Allgood will be 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at Riverwood Family, with interment in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Riverwood.

Mrs. Allgood, 91, of Brookhaven, passed away Oct. 10, 2019, at Haven Hall Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 15, 1928, to her parents, Virgil and Mable Smitherman. Her love for gardening produced a longtime employment with the Brookhaven Nursery. She also enjoyed camping with her husband and their friends. Mrs. Allgood was a member of First Baptist Church, Brookhaven.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Allgood; parents; sister, Mildred S. Compton; brother, M.J. Smitherman; and first husband, Lamar Kyzar.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her sisters, Margie Lightsey and Marie Whitfield; four nephews, three nieces, and their families, as well as her dear friends, Bonita and Boyce Bullock.
